Meet the Parsons House Austin Staff

After managing Parsons House Austin since 2001, Parsons Group acquired the community in 2004 to provide market-rate, service-oriented, residential-style senior housing, including Independent and Assisted Living.

Carin Keeter

Executive Director

Carin and her family have re-located to Austin from the Pacific Northwest area. Originally from Seattle, the Keeters’ have lived in Boston and Montana as well as Idaho. Carin began her career in Senior Living during the 1990's and has been an Executive Director with smaller privately-owned companies to large corporations such as Horizon Bay and Brookdale. Carin also has had the opportunity to work within the hospice field in operations and business development. Carins' first love however is working with seniors and their families and now that she is with the Parsons House, she feels like she is "home." Carin and her husband, Brad have two children; Orion (age 20), and Abigail (age 16). Carin is a self-proclaimed "crazy cat lady," with a passion for rescuing black cats from shelters and fostering strays until they can find loving homes. Other interests for Carin are cooking, music, traveling and spending time with her family.

Lynn Roberson

Health Services Administrator

Lynn joined the staff of Parsons House Austin in 2000 with 15 years of experience in geriatric care. She served as Director of Assisted Living and Executive Director before assuming her current position. Growing up in Hallettsville, Texas, Lynn spent countless happy hours with her grandparents, learning foremost from them the importance of patience. Lynn is a licensed Nurse and has obtained National Administrative Certification and National Assisted Living Certification. Lynn attended Victoria College and Austin Community College. She is married and has raised two children.

Lynn knows first-hand that maintaining the highest standard of living for residents of Parsons House takes dedication and patience. She credits the staff for working closely to ensure the very best care. From the first day Lynn walked into Parsons House Austin and saw all of the smiling faces in the lobby, she has felt "at home" every single work day.

Joel Simoneaux

Dining Services Supervisor

Chef Joel Simoneaux is a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation. She is a native of Louisiana, and spent seven years in New Orleans as the Executive Chef of the historic Pontchartrain Hotel in the uptown Garden District of New Orleans. Chef Joel has been serving Parsons House delicious and nutritious meals since 2011.

Jessica Culver

Marketing Director

Jessica joined Parsons House Austin with over a decade of experience in the Senior Living industry. She has chosen to use her Master's Degree in Organizational Management combined with her expertise and compassion to work with seniors and their families. For the hundreds of families she has helped, she knows this is their first time going through an unfamiliar process. Jessica is sure to treat them all with respect, knowledge and guidance through this transition in their lives. She considers it an honor to be entrusted with such an important role. Jessica also has an incredible home life with a loving husband and two precious little girls.

Shane Latson

Director of Community Relations

Shane has worked in the senior healthcare industry for four years and is an active part of the Austin community. Prior to joining Parsons House Austin, he worked for The Medical Team, a home health company. Shane grew up in Commerce, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, with a major in Government and a Minor in Business. He serves on multiple advisory boards, including the Adult Protective Services (APS) and Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) boards. Shane has also been a volunteer for Meals On Wheels for over three years, making weekly meal deliveries. Shane and his wife Julie enjoy their central Austin home, being outdoors, and taking advantage of all Austin has to offer. They are also huge Texas Longhorn fans!

Angelica Williamson

Resident Services Director

Angelica joined Parsons House Austin in 2010 after graduating from Texas State University majoring in Urban Planning and Social Gerontology. As Resident Services Director, she welcomes new residents into the flock and helps them get successfully settled in. Her passion is keeping her friends at Parsons House connected to the community by planning weekly outings and happenings to reflect what our residents like to do. Angelica is a native Austinite. On the weekends, she enjoys going to see plays, live music, and grabbing a bite at a new restaurant. You can often find her at the green belt with her three dogs - one of which was imported from the Parsons House parking lot. She invites you to drop by anytime and join in on the fun.
